Top issues during term (11)(Development)
Ownership of Former Greenbelt High School Building (Springhill Lake Elementary)
No spending authorized yet; acquisition costs to be mapped before any vote.
Community Visioning and Public Development Working Group
None yet, though the Mayor suggested surplus public safety funds could pay a visioning consultant.
Greenbelt Armory redevelopment
Armory demolition is a candidate for a $1 million bond bill request if the grant doesn't come through.
Tenant Advisory Board proposal
Unknown until a resolution and budget come forward.
Greenbelt Armory Redevelopment Questionnaire Results
Feasibility study costs now; potential major redevelopment spending later.

Annexation of BARC and NASA land
Annexing mostly federal land means little new tax revenue immediately, but it sets the stage for future development discussions.
Election results certification timing
Advisory board and committee appointments
County development review and permitting streamlining
Permitting delays cost builders and the county time and money; Greenbelt hopes local permitting would save both.
